How many days of rest or leave are needed after hair transplantation?Usually in FUE procedure the donor is mostly healed by 3–4 days after surgery. By one week after surgery, the hair will have grown back enough to cover the places we take the hair from. So we advise for three days rest and they can go with daily routines after 7 days, but they should avoid heavy exercises.

When should you take head bath after surgery?Patient can wash his hair gently after 7 days, but for patient’s safety we tell them to avoid head baths up to 10 to 12 days. After 12 days hospital nurses remove the clots gently.

Why to avoid heavy exercises after hair transplant?

Usually we advise them to avoid high intensity exercise or sports activity for around 3-4 weeks. This is because such activities increase the blood flow to scalp. This may lead to bleeding in transplants and incisions.

What else need to be avoided after hair transplant? They should avoid head bath at least for 10 days, should avoid helmet usage for one month, and avoid swimming and oil application also.

How long should I wear the cap?

You will be given surgical caps which you have to wear for the first few days after surgery to prevent any infections. It is ideal to wear this cap till the clot removal day. Once the implanted area is cleaned and clots removed you can stop using this cap.

Is Hair Transplantation Painful?

FUE technique is done under local anesthetic so that you will not observe any pain during the procedure. Mild discomfort may occur as the local anesthetic is injected in to the scalp and after surgery also they feel some minor discomfort. But it is usually described as minimal.

Will I feel pain during the procedure?

You will be given a local anaesthesia in both the donor and the recipient area to numb the area so that you will not experience any pain and it will ensure that you are completely comfortable during the entire procedure.

Will I feel pain after going home and next days?

Some soreness, tightness and possibly some numbness are normal and to be expected. In the next few days, some scabbing in the recipient sites may be present, as well as moderate redness. Swelling may also appear on the forehead, but this is typically rare. However, soreness and numbness in the donor area should begin to disappear in the days following the procedure. While some patients report a sensation similar to that of mild sunburn in the recipient areas following the procedure, there is generally little or no discomfort in the recipient area after the first few days following the procedure.

Orthodontic treatment is a specialized branch of dentistry that focuses on correcting misaligned teeth and jaws. It involves the use of various appliances to gradually move the teeth into their proper positions, improving functionality and aesthetics.

When is the right time to get orthodontic treatment?

Orthodontic treatment can address a wide range of issues, including crowded teeth, spacing problems, overbites, underbites, crossbites, and open bites.

Patients may experience some discomfort or soreness when braces are first placed or adjusted. This discomfort is usually temporary and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.

The duration of treatment varies depending on the complexity of the case and the type of appliances used. Typically, orthodontic treatment can last from several months to a few years.

Clear aligners are a type of orthodontic appliance made of transparent, BPA-free plastic material. They are custom-made to fit over the teeth and gradually shift them into their desired positions.

Clear aligners work by applying gentle and controlled forces to move the teeth gradually. Each set of aligners represents a small adjustment in tooth position. Patients progress through a series of aligners during their treatment.

Clear aligners are most effective for mild to moderate orthodontic issues, including crowded teeth, spacing problems, and minor bite corrections. Complex cases may require alternative treatment options.

The treatment duration varies depending on the complexity of the case and the specific treatment plan. On average, clear aligner treatment can take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.

For effective results, patients are typically advised to wear their clear aligners for 20-22 hours per day, removing them only for eating, drinking (except for water), and oral hygiene.

No, it is recommended to remove the clear aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water. This helps prevent damage to the aligners and reduces the risk of staining.

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made of titanium that are surgically placed into the jawbone to support replacement teeth or dental restorations.

Most people with good oral and overall health are candidates for dental implants. Adequate bone density in the jaw is necessary to support the implant. Your dentist or oral surgeon will evaluate your dental condition to determine if you are a suitable candidate.

With proper care and maintenance, dental implants can last for many years or even a lifetime. Regular dental check-ups and good oral hygiene are crucial for their long-term success.

Dental implant surgery is typically performed under local anesthesia, so patients should not feel pain during the procedure. After the surgery, some discomfort and swelling may be experienced, which can be managed with pain medications prescribed by the dentist.

The dental implant process can take several months, including the healing period after implant placement. The exact duration varies depending on factors such as the number of implants, the need for bone grafting, and the individual's healing response.

Yes, dental implants can be used to replace a single missing tooth or multiple missing teeth. Implant-supported bridges or dentures can be used to replace several adjacent missing teeth or a full arch of missing teeth.

Teeth whitening, when performed by a dental professional following recommended guidelines, is generally considered safe. However, some people may experience temporary tooth sensitivity or gum irritation. It's essential to follow the dentist's instructions and avoid overusing whitening products.

The most common side effect is temporary tooth sensitivity, which usually subsides after the treatment. Some individuals may experience mild gum irritation, but this is generally temporary as well.

The duration of teeth whitening results can vary depending on factors such as individual habits (like smoking and consumption of staining foods/drinks), oral hygiene practices, and the type of whitening treatment used. Typically, results can last from a few months to a couple of years. Periodic touch-ups are often recommended to maintain the desired whiteness.

Teeth whitening treatments are most effective on natural teeth that have become discolored over time. Whitening may not be as effective on teeth with intrinsic stains (those caused by trauma or certain medications) or restorative materials like crowns and veneers.

Over-the-counter whitening products can provide some level of whitening but may not be as effective as professional treatments performed by a dentist. Professional treatments typically use higher concentrations of whitening agents, and the results are more controlled and monitored.

People with sensitive teeth can undergo teeth whitening, but they may experience increased sensitivity during and after the treatment. Dentists can use desensitizing agents or recommend specific products to minimize discomfort.

Gum depigmentation, also known as gum bleaching or gum lightening, is a dental procedure aimed at removing excessive pigmentation or dark spots on the gums. It is necessary for individuals who feel self-conscious about their gum appearance and desire a brighter and more even gum color, leading to an improved smile aesthetic.

Gum hyperpigmentation can be caused by various factors, including genetics, ethnicity, hormonal changes (such as during pregnancy), and oral health issues, like gum disease or chronic inflammation.

Gum depigmentation can be performed through different methods, including laser gum depigmentation, surgical gum depigmentation, and chemical gum depigmentation. Laser depigmentation and chemical depigmentation are minimally invasive, while surgical depigmentation involves using a scalpel.

The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia to ensure patient comfort. Patients may experience some mild discomfort or sensitivity after the procedure, but pain is generally minimal and manageable.

The primary benefit of gum depigmentation is the improvement of smile aesthetics. By removing excessive pigmentation, the gums appear lighter and more uniform, leading to increased self-confidence and overall satisfaction with one's smile.

Yes, gum depigmentation is a safe procedure when performed by a qualified periodontist or cosmetic dentist. The use of modern techniques, such as laser gum depigmentation, reduces the risk of complications and promotes faster healing.

Tooth jewellery, also known as tooth gems or dental gems, is a cosmetic accessory applied to the surface of a tooth to enhance the smile's aesthetics. It typically involves attaching small crystals, rhinestones, or gems to the front teeth using dental adhesive

When applied by a qualified dental professional using appropriate materials and techniques, tooth jewellery is generally considered safe. The procedure is non- invasive and temporary, with minimal risk if proper aftercare and oral hygiene are maintained.

The longevity of tooth jewellery varies depending on factors like the type of adhesive used, oral hygiene practices, and eating habits. Generally, tooth gems can last from a few weeks to several months.

When applied and removed correctly by a dental professional, tooth jewellery should not cause damage to the tooth's enamel or structure.

Yes, tooth jewellery is temporary and can be easily removed by a dental professional without causing any harm to the tooth.

The application of tooth jewellery is typically painless.

Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells made of porcelain or composite resin that are bonded to the front surface of the teeth to improve their appearance. They are used to address cosmetic concerns such as stains, chips, gaps, and misalignments.

The lifespan of dental veneers can vary, but on average, porcelain veneers can last 10 to 15 years or longer, while composite resin veneers last around 5 to 7 years with proper care.

Dental veneers are best suited for individuals with good oral health and stable gum tissues. They may not be appropriate for those with extensive tooth damage or decay, as more comprehensive dental restorations may be necessary.

The veneer procedure is typically not painful. The process involves minimaland is often performed with local anesthesia to ensure patient comfort.

The application of dental veneers involves tooth preparation, taking impressions of the teeth, fabricating custom veneers in a dental laboratory, and bonding the veneers to the teeth using dental adhesive.

Dental veneers do not require special care beyond regular oral hygiene practices. It is essential to brush, floss, and visit the dentist regularly for check-ups and cleanings to maintain the veneers' longevity.

Porcelain veneers are highly resistant to staining, but composite resin veneers may be more susceptible. While veneers themselves cannot be whitened, professional teeth whitening can be done on natural teeth to match the shade of the veneers if necessary.
